Macallan – Edition No. 4 Limited Edition (2018) (75cl)

The fourth release in Macallan's annual Edition series, a limited Speyside single malt in a 75cl bottle. It was released in 2018 and reflects the new Macallan Distillery and the whisky making on the estate since 1824. It is made from a combination of European and American oak casks, chosen to show the role each cask plays in the whisky. It is described as zesty and vibrant, with rounded honey, sweet toffee and citrus fruit. The nose offers honey and sweet apple, then orange zest over ginger and nutmeg, with polished oak at the end. The palate opens with nutmeg, wood spices and green cloves, before settling to sweet vanilla.
