A limited edition single malt from Macallan, released as a Taiwan exclusive in a 70cl bottle. Edition No. 5 is about the natural colour of the whisky, which is 100% natural, and about the whisky making behind it. Macallan worked with colour specialists at the Pantone Color Institute to create a distinctive shade of purple for the packaging, a mix of red and blue. The nose has toffee apple, poached pear, savoury sage and flashes of clean citrus. The palate turns nuttier, with walnut and macadamia, then orchard fruits, honeycomb and oaky black pepper. The finish is butterscotch, cedar and lemon.
