This is Macallan Edition No. 6, the sixth and final release in The Macallan Edition series, a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle made as a Taiwan exclusive. It draws on the River Spey and the Macallan estate for its inspiration.
Whisky maker Steven Bremner hand-picked five distinct cask types in American and European oak. The whisky has a rich brass, natural colour.
The nose combines fresh fruit, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, toffee, vanilla and oak. The palate has plum and sweet orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, toffee and oats, with balanced oak. The finish is long, with fresh fruit and spice turning to creamy chocolate and toasted oats.
