Macallan – Estate Limited Edition (2019) (70cl)

Macallan Estate is a limited edition Speyside single malt released in 2019, created by Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess. It comes in a 70cl bottle. It contains spirit made from a proportion of barley grown on the 485-acre Easter Elchies estate, on the banks of the River Spey. That barley is distilled just once a year, over a single week. A hint of citrus sits alongside the sherried richness. The nose brings cinnamon, wood spice and orange oil, opening to dried fruits, sweet lemon, banana and caramel. The palate is soft and warming, with dry oak, candied raisin, fresh fig and sweet orange. The finish is a sweet citrus twist.
