Macallan Rare Cask Black Edition is a Speyside single malt bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle, presented in a gift box. It is matured in sherry casks, which add body and depth, and it is released in a limited number of bottles.
The character is smoky yet fruity. The nose has a light smokiness with dried fruit, chocolate and a touch of orange peel. On the palate smoke mixes with raisin sweetness, dark chocolate and toasted spice. The finish is long and velvety, the smoke slowly fading into sweet fruit.
