Macallan – Rich Cacao The Harmony Collection First Release Travel Retail Exclusive (2021) (70cl)

This is Macallan Rich Cacao, the first release in The Harmony Collection, a Speyside single malt made for travel retail in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry seasoned oak. The Harmony Collection began in 2021 with a focus on sustainable packaging. This first edition is a collaboration with the chef Jordi Roca of El Celler de Can Roca. Whisky maker Polly Logan visited the restaurant to see the chocolate making that inspired the whisky. The nose offers chocolate fondant, honey, oak, lime zest and ginger. On the palate come dark chocolate, honey, dates, vanilla and cinnamon, and the finish is long, with rich chocolate.
