Macallan – The Archival Series Folio 6 (2020) (70cl)

Folio 6 is the sixth release in The Macallan Archival Series, a Speyside single malt series created to mark the brand's print, press and advertising campaigns of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. It comes in a presentation tin shaped like a book. This release celebrates an advert that showed The Chairman as a Scotsman dancing the Highland fling over a pen and brush, the symbols of the advertising team of Holmes and Salaman. The Macallan Chairman at the time was Allan Shiach. The nose has orange and ginger, poached pear, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and fresh oak with a hint of chocolate. The palate brings orange, sultana and ginger, then soft milk chocolate, and the finish is long with ginger warmth.
