Macchu Pisco is a Peruvian pisco in the Puro style, made from a single grape, Quebranta, and bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It is produced by a family-run business using traditional methods. The Quebranta grapes are destemmed and pressed by foot, then distilled in a small copper pot still. The spirit is brought to bottling strength without added water, in line with Peruvian rules.
The nose is light vanilla, pear and lime peel with white pepper. The palate is oily and full, with vanilla sugar, lime, yuzu and cinnamon. The finish is medium to long, with creamy marzipan and a little peppery heat.
