Machrie Moor Cask Strength is a single malt from the Lochranza distillery on the Isle of Arran, bottled at 56.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is fully matured in first-fill bourbon casks, and is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The nose opens with citrus, with peat in the background and a puff of smoke straight away. The palate is robust, with the orchard fruits of Arran coming forward over toasted brioche and red berries. The finish carries citrus, smoke, chocolate, vanilla and coconut.
