Mackmyra Limousin is a Swedish single malt from the Mackmyra distillery, bottled at 46.1% in a 70cl bottle. It is a temporary release, matured partly in Limousin oak casks that previously held Ferrand cognac.
The nose is fruity, with sweet fruit and citrus, clear vanilla, dried fruit, plum and orange zest. The palate is round, with vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, almond and dark chocolate, alongside light spice, young grapes, ginger and ripe pear. The finish is winey, with ripe grapes, oak, pear and caramel.
