Mackmyra – Moment 22 (70cl, 42.4%)

Mackmyra Moment 22 is a limited edition of 1,100 bottles, bottled at 42.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is a tribute to the distillery's beginnings in Gävle, Sweden, twenty years earlier. The whisky is a reworking of the Preludium series, which Mackmyra released between 2005 and 2007 from its earliest distillations. Whisky taken from the distillery's archive was moved into 30-litre Swedish oak casks for a further 3.5 years of ageing. The original Preludium whiskies were between three and five years old and combined Swedish oak, small casks and Mackmyra's smoky character spiced with juniper twigs.
