Mackmyra – Svensk Ek Single Malt (46.1%)

Mackmyra Svensk Ek is a Swedish single malt from the distillery's core range, bottled at 46.1% ABV with no age statement. It is made almost entirely from Swedish ingredients. Around ten per cent of the whisky goes on to mature in Swedish oak casks, and the use of smaller cask sizes puts extra emphasis on the effect of the wood. It is usually described as showing sandalwood, dried ginger, black pepper, toasted oak, herbs and malt, with a spicy structure.
