Private Selection begins with fully matured Maker's Mark at cask strength, which is then finished in the barrel with wood staves chosen by the participants. The staves are American and French oak in five profiles, giving 1,001 possible combinations. The mash bill is 70% corn, 16% wheat and 14% barley.
