Manly Spirits – Coastal Stone Bourbon Cask Australian Single Malt Whisky (50cl, 46%)

This is an Australian single malt from Manly Spirits, made from grain to glass at the distillery on Sydney's Northern Beaches. It is bottled at 46% in a 500ml bottle and closed with a stopper cut from real Sydney sandstone. The whisky was matured in ex-Kentucky bourbon casks that were filled in the distillery's first year of distilling. The nose opens with gentle vanilla, then green fruits and toasted caramel. On the palate it is mellow and sweet, with warm honey, baked pear and apple, and a backbone of oak and leather. The finish is long and oily, with a touch of spice and lingering honey nut.
