Marc Brédif Vouvray is a white wine made from 100% Chenin Blanc in the Vouvray appellation of the Loire Valley. The estate is owned by Baron Patrick de Ladoucette.
The grapes are hand-harvested and pressed pneumatically, using only free-run juice. Fermentation is temperature controlled and lasts two months, followed by nine months on the lees in vat, in the estate's troglodyte cellars cut into tuffeau limestone.
The nose shows Fuji apple, ripe peach, orange zest, white blossom and a little pineapple over a flinty mineral note. The palate is full, with peach and pineapple, bright acidity and an off-dry centre. The finish is long and lemony, ending with honeyed, faintly waxy notes.
