Mars Kasei Blended Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Mars Kasei is a Japanese blended whisky at 40%, made by Hombo Shuzo. It combines malt and grain whiskies from a range of casks, including spirit from the Mars Shinshu Distillery and Scotch malt and grain whisky. Colouring has been added. Kasei is the Japanese word for Mars, and the red planet appears on the black label. The nose has white blossom and ripe fruit with a hint of smoke. The palate is warming, with honey, green apples and white grapes. The finish brings pastry notes with citrus and vanilla.
