This is a single malt from Shinshu Mars, released to mark the opening of the Mars Tsunuki Distillery in Minamisatsuma City in November 2016. It is vatted from 10 casks, matured in bourbon barrels for three years in the Tsunuki Aging Cellar, and bottled at a natural cask strength of 59% in a run of 2,274 bottles.
The bourbon barrels bring sweetness, set alongside peaty aromas and fruity notes of orange and banana.
