This is a single malt from Mars Shinshu Distillery in Japan, distilled in 2015 and matured until 2020 in a bourbon barrel (#2023). It is non-peated and bottled at 61% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The barrel spent its time at the Yakushima Aging Cellar, on a subtropical island in Kagoshima covered by cedar forest. It is an Asian exclusive single cask, with 194 bottles in the release.
The nose offers salted caramel and toasted walnuts. The palate is very creamy, with chocolate pudding and a very gentle spice.
