This is a four-year-old Japanese single malt from the Komagatake distillery, which stands at the foot of the mountain of the same name in the Japanese Central Alps. It is the 2022 edition of the distillery's annual limited release, bottled at 61% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky was distilled and matured on site, mainly in bourbon casks and then in sherry and port casks. It is described as an elegant, rich and full-bodied style of malt.
