Mars Komagatake Limited Edition 2019 is a single malt from the Mars Shinshu distillery in Nagano, in the Japanese Alps, bottled at 48% ABV.
It is a blend of ex-bourbon and American white oak casks, matured in the distillery's warehouse 800 metres above sea level.
The nose is rich and fruity, with apricot and sweet orange marmalade. The palate is delicate and fruity, with soft oak. The finish is dry and rich, with fresh plums and white grapes, then grain and chocolate biscuits.
