Rindo is the first release in the Nature of Shinshu range from the Mars distillery in Japan, named after a flower that grows near the distillery. This single malt was distilled in 2012, is about three years old, and is bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle.
It is a vatting of ex-bourbon, sherry and Japanese wine casks, and is reported to include some whisky of around 20 years old. It was launched at the Tokyo Whisky Festival in 2015, and 8,200 bottles were reportedly released.
