A Japanese single malt from the Shinshu Mars distillery in Nagano, and the flagship of the Komagatake range. It is bottled at 45% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without chill filtration.
The whisky has been aged for over three years across Bourbon barrels, Sherry casks, Port casks and Wine casks.
The nose offers apple tea and apricots. The palate has a velvety texture, with honeyed warmth, toasted almonds and stone fruits, and the finish is gentle and lingering with a subtle sweetness.
