Mars Komagatake Single Malt Limited Edition 2021 (70cl, 48%)

A Japanese single malt from the Mars Shinshu distillery in Nagano Prefecture, in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV. The edition pays tribute to the distillery's setting in the Japanese Alps, at the foot of Mount Komagatake. The whisky was matured for at least three years in American oak and ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill filtered. The nose offers plums, honey and vanilla, with hints of tropical fruit. On the palate there is sweet orange and green melon, with touches of cocoa powder. The finish is long and soft, with chestnuts and ripe persimmon.
