Mars Maltage 28 Years Old 3 Plus 25 is a Japanese blended malt in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 46% ABV. It won World's Best Blended Malt Whisky at the World Whiskies Awards in 2013, and 3800 bottles were released. The name describes its make-up: three-year-old whiskies distilled at the Kagoshima distillery, which closed in 1984, and at Yamanashi, which closed in 1969, were then matured for a further 25 years at the current Mars Shinshu site in Nagano. It is described as having sweet aromas of dried fruits and vanilla, with a smooth, rich taste.
