Mars The Revival 2011 is a three-year-old Japanese single malt from the Shinshu distillery, bottled at a natural cask strength of 58% in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in an ex-bourbon cask and is slightly peated, at 8 ppm phenol level. Only 6,000 bottles were released in 2011. The release marks the reawakening of the Mars whisky brand and its Shinshu distillery, founded in 1985 by Hombo Shuzo. It is the first whisky released after a hiatus. Fresh vanilla and caramel come together with spices, and a brief smoke arrives towards the finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
