Mars The Y.A. #4 (70cl, 50%)

The fourth edition of Mars The Y.A. is a Japanese blended malt, bringing together malt whiskies from the Mars Komagatake and Mars Tsunuki distilleries. The core of the blend is ex-bourbon cask whisky that matured in the Mars Yakushima Aging Cellar, and Hombo Shuzo married the malts after that maturation. It was bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring. Banana and other tropical fruit sit alongside mandarin, peat smoke, damp moss and leather, with honey and oak adding sweet and woody notes. The finish is long and warm, with a light salty sea breeze.
