MARS Yakushima YA Japanese Spring Blended Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 49%)

This is a blended malt Japanese whisky from MARS, bottled by Hombo Shuzo at 49% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It blends malt distilled at Komagatake Distillery and Tsunuki Distillery, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colouring. The whisky was matured at the Yakushima Aging Cellar. The nose shows grilled pineapple and ripe banana, with maritime hints and citrus zest. On the palate, sweet vanilla and wood meet a faint veil of peat smoke. The finish is long, with a trace of sea salt and spicy oak.
