Marsmalt Le Papillon "L. amurensis" is a single malt made at the Mars Shinshu Distillery, part of the Le Papillon series, which takes its inspiration from butterflies. It is named after L. amurensis, a species found in East Asia.
The nose is floral and fruity, with apple and pear, honey and vanilla. On the palate, ripe fruit sweetness meets gentle spice and a touch of oak in a silky texture.
The finish is lingering, with soft fruit sweetness and a whisper of spice.
