Martha's Fine Tawny Port (75cl, 19.5%)

A Fine Tawny port from the Douro, aged for four years in oak barrels. It is made from Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Cão, Tinta Amarela and Tinta Roriz, and bottled at 19.5% abv. The house was founded in 1727 in the Douro valley by the Martha family, who first grew grapes for other producers before making port themselves six generations ago. The nose combines ripe fruit with toasted notes. The palate is smooth and round, balancing the sweetness of dried fruit with the depth of oak. It is best served chilled, with cheese, fruit or nut tarts, or crème brûlée.
