Mary Taylor Jean Marc Bordeaux Rouge (75cl)

Jean Marc Bordeaux Rouge is an unoaked red wine from Entre-Deux-Mers in Bordeaux, made by Jean Marc Barthez at a small co-operative in Monségur. It blends 50% Merlot with 25% Cabernet Franc and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is fermented and aged entirely in stainless steel, with no contact with oak, which keeps the acidity bright and the mineral character clear. Many of the co-operative's vineyards are certified organic. The nose shows purple flowers, mulberry, blueberry and graphite, with hints of eucalyptus and spiced cedar. The palate is juicy, with dark berries, a cranberry-like tartness, graphite minerality and smooth tannins. The finish is medium in length and clean.
