Kaijin is a three-year-old blended whisky from Masahiro Distillery on Okinawa, Japan, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It was matured in ex-sherry and Bourbon casks, then blended and bottled at the distillery.
The name means 'Sea Man' in Japanese. It comes from a sea monster said to have lived in Japan during the Edo period, a nod to Okinawa's tropical waters and its tradition of sea myths.
