McCarthy's Oregon Single Malt is an American single malt made at Clear Creek Distillery in Hood River, Oregon. It is distilled once from peated malted barley sourced from Port Ellen.
The whiskey spent all six years in Garryana oak barrels, with the staves air-dried for three years before the casks were made. It is bottled at natural cask strength of 50% ABV and is non-chill filtered.
On the palate it is smoky, with sea air, bacon, charred oak and earthy peat set against a gentle sweetness. The savoury, maritime finish is long.
