Blossoming Auld Sherried is a single malt from Michel Couvreur, bottled in 2021 at 45% in a 70cl bottle. It matured in sherry casks, and each bottle is numbered.
Couvreur is an independent bottler based in Bouze-lès-Beaune in Burgundy, and its whiskies, which come from Scotland, age in the company's own old cellar there. The palate is oily, silky and soft, yet powerful and long, with raisin, cinnamon stick and dried orange peel. The finish is rich and intense, ending with a sweetness like Christmas cake with vanilla custard.
