Michel Couvreur Candid is a peated single malt matured in Burgundy in sherry half-casks. It is a blend of casks that held Pedro Ximénez and Amontillado, and the whisky is between eight and nine years old.
The name Candid points to frankness and sincerity. It takes inspiration from the 2008 Disclosure cuvée, with the same balance of roundness and peat. It matured in the cellars at Bouze-lès-Beaune, where casks of rare wines are also kept.
It is peated, spicy and round.
