Michel Couvreur Candid (1.5L, 49%)

Candid is a single malt from Michel Couvreur, the French maker based in Burgundy and known for ageing whisky in sherry casks in damp cellars away from the light. It is bottled at 49% ABV in a 1.5 litre bottle. The nose offers ripe fruit, vanilla and oak. On the palate there is butterscotch, honey, spice and dried fruit. The finish is long and warm, with sweet fruit and spice.
