Michel Couvreur Overaged Sherry Oak Casks Bottled 2020 (70cl, 52%)

This is the Overaged malt from Michel Couvreur, an independent bottler based in Bouze-les-Beaune in Burgundy. It is made from whiskies of 12 to 27 years old, matured in sherry oak casks and bottled at 52% in a 70cl bottle. Couvreur keeps a selection of Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks aged 50 to 60 years, and the whiskies mature in the company's own old cellar in Burgundy. On the palate it is a fruity, dry sherried whisky with a delicate note of smoke.
