Michel Couvreur Special Vatting (45%)

Special Vatting is a whisky from Michel Couvreur, the French maker based in Burgundy and known for ageing whisky in sherry casks in damp cellars away from the light. This one is a vatting of several casks, bottled at 45% ABV. The nose offers ripe fruit, honey, nuts and aged oak. On the palate there is caramel, vanilla, spice and dried fruit. The finish is long, with sweet fruit and spiced oak.
