Michel Couvreur The Unexpected III is a French single malt of more than 10 years, made from Vanessa barley and bottled at 50%. It was distilled on 1 December 2012 and bottled on 23 February 2023.
It matured in a mix of sherry casks: Amontillado, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez. The casks were kept in two warehouses, one damp for roundness and one dry for liveliness.
This is an edition of 2500 numbered bottles from Michel Couvreur, a company that invested in French whisky from 2010.
