Michter's 10 Year Old is a single barrel Kentucky straight rye, made at the Michter's Distillery in Kentucky. It matures in new, charred American white oak barrels.
It is bottled at 46.4% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtering or added colour, as a limited release.
Vanilla and caramel open the nose, with toasted almonds, cinnamon and a touch of pepper and orange. The palate follows the same lines, with the pepper and orange adding depth. The finish is long and spicy.
