This is Michter's Single Barrel Rye, aged for ten years. The edition pays tribute to Shenk's, described as the first American whiskey producer, and rye is the dominant grain, in keeping with the roots of the brand.
The whiskey matured in charred American white oak casks.
It is described as smooth, with flavours of nuts, orange, spice and cocoa.
