Michter's – 10 Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey

This is a 10-year-old Kentucky-style straight bourbon from Michter's, released as a single barrel expression. Each barrel is chosen for keeping its elegance and balance after long maturation. The whiskey is matured in new American white oak. The barrels are air-dried for an extended period before being toasted and charred, and Michter's uses a relatively low barrel entry strength of 103 proof to draw out richer sweetness from the wood. The nose offers dark toffee, caramel, maple syrup and vanilla, with mature oak and charred notes alongside. On the palate it is full-bodied and sweet.
