The 2022 release of Michter's 20 Year Old bourbon, from batch H2518, aged for two decades at the Fort Nelson Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
Michter's releases its 20 year old only when the master of maturation judges that the available barrels meet the standard, so there is no set annual release. Batch H2518 is the selection of barrels that passed that test in 2022.
The nose combines dried fruit, dark chocolate, leather, vanilla and warm oak. On the palate come raisins, caramel, worn leather, toasted oak and baking spice, followed by a very long finish of dark fruit and oak.
