Michter's Bourbon - Limited Release - Toasted Barrel Finish

This is a Kentucky bourbon from Michter's, released as a limited edition with a toasted barrel finish. After ageing in virgin oak, the whiskey moves into barrels that have been toasted slowly at low, controlled temperatures, which subtly changes the structure of the American white oak. The nose brings cinnamon apples and roasted hazelnuts alongside sugar syrup and warm caramel. Creamy vanilla and nutty peanut lead the palate, with raspberry and steady caramel sweetness. The finish is soft caramel fading into a hint of fine smoke.
