Michter's – Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Michter's Kentucky Straight Bourbon is a Kentucky bourbon made from a mashbill built on American corn. It is produced in small batches. Each batch is held in a tank that takes a maximum of twenty full barrels, so every barrel has to be good enough to go in. The bourbon is described as nuanced, mellow and earthy. The nose combines vanilla, caramel, milk chocolate and buttered corn, with sweet oak char behind. Buttery caramel, soft peach and apricot lead the palate, with nutmeg and pepper softened by melted chocolate. The finish is fruity, with stone fruits, honeyed almonds, buttery oak and a balanced peppery heat.
