Michter's – Shenk's Homestead 2023 Release (70cl)

Michter's Shenk's Homestead 2023 Release is a Kentucky sour mash whiskey in a 70cl bottle. It is an annual tribute to John Shenk, who established the original distillery in 1753, before it became known as Michter's in the 20th century. The whiskey has a substantial rye presence, and the 2023 mashbill includes malted rye. Part of it was aged in toasted French oak barrels made from Vosges wood that was air-dried for 24 months. The rest matured in wood that was naturally air-dried and seasoned for 18 months, showing Michter's signature toast and char.
