Michter's – Sour Mash Whiskey

Michter's Sour Mash Whiskey is an American whiskey made as a tribute to a style that had almost been lost. It uses the sour mash method, in which part of an earlier fermented mash starts the next batch. The mash bill is a selected blend of corn, rye and malted barley, and the whiskey matures in new, charred American oak casks. The nose offers molasses, almonds and vanilla with subtle spice. The palate is softly sweet, with honey, citrus, cinnamon and toasted oak. The finish is long, smooth and gently spicy.
