Michter's – Toasted Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey

A Kentucky straight rye from Michter's, finished in specially prepared toasted barrels after the whiskey has fully matured. The second-fill barrels are made from oak that was air-dried naturally for 24 months, then toasted without charring. This adds sweetness and deeper toasted notes while the spicy character of the rye remains. The flavours run through toffee, honey, black walnut and cherry, layered with dark chocolate, salted caramel and mint. The finish is warm, with gingerbread, spices and toasted oak.
