Michter's US*1 Unblended American Whiskey (70cl, 41.7%)

Michter's US*1 Unblended American Whiskey is bottled at 41.7% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured for five to eight years in casks that have already held whiskey rather than new oak, so it is not technically a bourbon. Master Distiller Willie Pratt brought it back in late 2013, after almost three years away from the market. The nose is creamy caramel sweets and intense vanilla cream, with raisins, dried figs and butterscotch. The palate has caramel sauce, vanilla pudding, mild walnuts, toffee, a little allspice and oak. The finish is long, with vanilla, cinnamon and ripe banana.
