Micil Inverin Small Batch is a peated Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle at 46% ABV. It is a five-part blend.
The whiskey is given a triple cask finish in recharred ex-bourbon quarter casks, Pedro Ximenez casks and a Micil peated poitín octave. It draws on the fruity spice of Connemara 'fuisce' and the peat smoke of the illicit stills and kilns of Inverin.
Peat and charred wood smoke sit in balance, alongside baked apples and pears, plenty of vanilla and honey sweetness, and pink peppercorn spice. The finish lingers with smoked bacon and clove.
