Midleton Barry Crockett Legacy is a single pot still Irish whiskey made at Midleton Distillery in County Cork. It is a tribute to Barry Crockett, the second-generation Master Distiller there, and is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It is a personal selection of pot still whiskeys aged between 10 and 22 years, matured in American bourbon barrels with a small contribution from pot still distillate aged in virgin American oak. It carries no age statement and is non-chill filtered.
The nose offers lime, green berries, pears and a hint of sweet green pepper over vanilla and charred oak. The palate is lightly peppery, with citrus, mandarin, cinnamon and pine. The finish is long, fading to a clean American oak base.
